Hello fellow LS2 fans. Here are the rules for posting, commenting, and messaging. Please try your best to follow them. Thanks!
Basic Forum Rules:
1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forums. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning
2. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "OMG!", "Can you believe this?", etc. Example of a good title. "New LexisSims2 Updates"
3. Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which is against something in forum policy they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the staff Team. Please use the “PM” feature to report posts. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who constantly “act” as moderators may be warned.
4. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience (we have very young children here). Posting pornographic or offensive links, FaceBook, My.Space or any kind of site like those, LS2 related forums, blogs sites, or any other forum etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to an immediate ban. NOTE: G Rated links are allowed. Such as any Disney games, Nickolodeon or other G rated game sites.
5. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users.
6. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". 'That is' users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, boldface type, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
7. Impersonating others is not allowed. This not only includes LS2FF staff, but it also includes pretending to be another forum member. This will not be tolerated and will lead to an immediate ban.
8. Cloning accounts is not allowed. Anyone found creating multiple accounts on LS2FF will be banned. If you forget your password, click on the "I forgot my password" link in the login area. The forums will automatically send a temporary password.
9. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming, trolling, or abusing other users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or ban .
10. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstances. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed (warnings will be placed within the members post).
Talking about your own or other peoples forums: Users may not promote their sites, forums, blogs etc., through their own posts, signatures, site links etc.. Such posting constitutes spam and will lead to a warning, ban and or immediate loss of PM. If you want to open a forum of your own, Then you should be prepared to spend your own money in advertising it. We are not a billboard to give free ads to your site..
What is Spam You Ask?
It is the flooding of the forum, chat or PM, with many copies of the same message or message content, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Other examples of spam are: posting in a topic to disrupt the subject of the thread; advertising your personal forum, blog, web site etc.; sending PM's to other members with your advertising; posting needlessly to boost your post count or bumping threads (see 24 hr bumping rule #14 ). The use of quick replys such as -- "OMG, Yes, etc." to boost post count is also considered spam.
11. The staff team reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points, is up to Staff Members and not users. Public posts debating these rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will be removed without comment. We encourage feedback however and invite you to PM a staff member if you have any questions or concerns.
12. The above forum rules, where applicable, also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.
13. Signatures may contain one image, no more than 250 pixels high, 450 pixels wide. Signatures are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect to spam, decency, emoticons, and so forth.
14. 24 hour bumping rule of a topic is a follows: you must wait 24 hours to bump the topic and/or post again in that topic. (use the edit button, if you have to add to your post) You may only bump your own topics ONCE every 24 hours, you may not have your friends bump your topic via spam (see rule #10). You can however, respond to others in your post.
15. Members may not discuss religion or politics in the forums; these two topics are highly controversial and can easily lead to fights. This also applies to the Private Messaging system.
Advisory: It is Not safe to discuss age or any personal information on internet/chat, PM or forums .
These rules may be amended at any time, it is your responsibility to ensure you stay up to date with the rules.
Failure to follow these rules may result in a warning being applied to your account however this is at the discretion of the staff member. Three warnings will result in the termination or suspension of your account and ip addresses. Depending on the severity of the offense a direct termination or suspension may result.
